Delaney Jones began dancing at age 3 at her home studio, Sam Smith School of Dance in Buffalo, New York. Here she trained in contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet, and hiphop; and later choreographed and taught. She attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where she studied psychology and childhood studies and minored in modern dance, while participating in Case Kismat Fusion competitive dance team as a dancer and choreographer. She received a masters degree in Community Practice for Social Change from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. After graduation, Delaney began implementing a community initiative in Cuyahoga County for infants and toddlers in foster care called Safe Babies Court Team; and currently continues to serve as the Community Coordinator for the initiative, where she collaborates with local judicial and child welfare leadership to manage and evaluate improvements in the system of care for vulnerable infants and toddlers. Delaney began dancing with Cleveland Dance Project in 2020, and choreographed for season 10 in 2022. She is excited to combine her community practice skills and passion for dance as fundraiser and grant writer for CDP Company.
