Heather Sakai serves as the Marketing Director for CDP Company.

Heather began her dance journey at the age of three, training initially under Jeanne Ann Corrigan before continuing her studies with Arlene Cassara and dancing competitively with the Rocky River Studio of Dance. She went on to study at Baldwin Wallace College before earning dual master’s degrees in Social Work, with a focus on Adult Mental Health, and Contemporary Dance from Case Western Reserve University. While at Case, Heather specialized in Graham technique and was selected to attend a summer workshop at the Martha Graham Studio in New York City. 

With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Heather has taught ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, musical theater, and gymnastics to students of all ages, both nationally and internationally. She has also choreographed for children and adults, bringing a diverse range of training and experience to her work as an educator and choreographer.

Heather has served as an adjudicator for the Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards and as a co-choreographer for the Rocky River High School Spring Musical. She has been part of Cleveland Dance Project’s All Level Organization since its inception, contributing her talents as a dancer, choreographer, and instructor.

Outside of her work in dance, Heather serves as a Social Media Engagement Coordinator for Bright Beginnings/Cuyahoga Parents Connect. When she’s not dancing or working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, stepson, and dog, Kuppy.
