Melanie Donoughe is a passionate dancer with a deep-rooted love for movement and storytelling. Originally from Cleveland, she began her training at the age of 2, studying a diverse range of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and tap. Melanie also competed at various competitions and conventions, receiving many scholarships and awards.
Melanie went to college at Kent State University and obtained a degree in occupational therapy assistant technology. While in college, Melanie continued training at Kent State, taking ballet, modern, and jazz classes. Over the years, she has continued to pursue her passion of dance through teaching and choreographing, also receiving choreography awards.
When not dancing, Melanie works as an occupational therapy assistant at a school for autism, where she can share her passion of movement with her students to increase their independence in daily activities. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking with her friends, and reading.
This is Melanie's first year with CDP company, and she is excited to continue her dance career with a company focused on health and wellness, and community outreach.
